Statement of Faith
CW3 adopts the Lausanne Covenant as our Statement of Faith. It expresses the position of all evangelical Christians worldwide. It was written during the 1980 International Congress on World Evangelization by a committee representing 150 nations. This is the condensed and adapted version from the original. The original Statement of Faith can be found here.
We believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who created all things and sustains all things.
We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Bible, which is the foundation of our faith.
We believe that salvation is only found through faith in Jesus Christ, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead.
As Christians in Web3, we are called to pray, fellowship, share the Gospel, and to live out our faith in the virtual and the physical world.
We are empowered by the Spirit to live a holy life, one characterized by integrity, transparency, and accountability in all our interactions.
We commit ourselves to the task of evangelism, discipleship, social justice in equity, and compassion. We seek to further God's kingdom and to love our neighbors as ourselves by alleviating poverty, promoting human dignity, and seeking justice for the oppressed.
We believe that by using our skills, expertise, and resources in the service of God's kingdom, we can play a meaningful role in advancing the Gospel, meeting the needs of others, and transforming the world through the power of technology and the love of Christ.
We affirm the importance of the Church, both local and global, as the body of Christ, and we commit ourselves to the task of building and strengthening communities of faith throughout the world.
We recognize that the ultimate goal of our faith is to bring glory to God and to enjoy Him forever, and we eagerly anticipate the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring about the ultimate renewal of all things.
